yeah, thats why i like anime, as much as i love the new 3D stuff from Dreamworks and pixar (its amazing how realistic it can be) i still love the traditional 2D animation i mean they are classics

I`m not sure. But I`m pretty sure there were 3D elements. The only shows that use frame to frame animation much any more is anime. western animations are either 3D or animated in flash. Stereotyping is never good however...

i see..haha i got a lot to learn oh yeah but the simpsons movie was originally hand drawn neh? that was quite awesome

Yup. Its pretty much one and the same these days anyway Even the Simpsons is fully 3D now.

so if u are into animation, just the 2D, character design story board stuff do u still have to learn about the computer progamming 3D technology? n vice versa?

Its the 3D program that Pixar uses to animate and model 3D. 3D Studio Max is better known and is a direct competitor to Maya.

i haven't been there is years but wat i can remember it was a pretty cite wats Maya?

Yeah Adelaide is my home town. There are a few 3D schools in Adelaide, but they all teach Max, and I studied Maya in Uni.

yeah, well the place i wanna go offers ' visual communication and design' or something like that and in the 3rd or 2nd year it covers animation, so im looking forward to it did u start out in adelaide? i here they got some really good art skools there

My first degree was in Multimedia, and you can choose to major in 3D animation. But yeah, it`s not completely 3D animation. Most major cities have a pure 3D animation school though that offer certificate level education.

oh cool can't wait too see, if i ever go its gotta be during may um yea me too, i wanna really get into the field of animation or sequential art, but the uni's dont have specific classes for just that, so i'll probably doing other stuff too but thats ok, just cant wait to do something that im interested in rather than waste my time at skool
