Shuurai is a reliable, although somewhat lazy, Chuunin who is on the verge of becoming a Jounin. The young adult has seen rough times in his past but that didn’t stop him from doing what he believes is right. Having overcome his tough adolescence, Shuurai has focused on honing his skills as a Shinobi when he became a Chuunin at the age of 13.

Shuurai is almost never seen without his most treasured and beloved weapon dubbed Hiraishin. The wooden weapon was given to Shuurai when he became a Genin at the age of 8 and he has made full use of it ever since. Together with Hiraishin, which Shuurai himself calls ‘Hira-chan’, Shuurai was handed an amulet that would prove indispensable in the near future.

Having control over the elements ‘Lightning’ and ‘Wind’, Shuurai has Jutsus that could finish the enemy off in 1 hit. Using his beloved Hira-chan, Shuurai can create powerful gusts of wind and control the direction of the wind by fusing it with his chakra. Having control over the wind, Shuurai can create a Lightning storm, a technique that Shuurai always uses as a finishing blow.

The friction in the wind is enough for Shuurai to create lightning. The reason why Shuurai’s Raiton Jutsus are strong is because the amulet he wears strengthens his ‘Lightning’ element to the point where he can produce a lighting bolt every time friction occurs in the powerful gust.
